For Local Hunterdon Families, I recommend visiting Echo Hill Park for the Earth Day Celebration brought to you by the Hunterdon County Division of Parks and Recreation on April 20th.The event will take place from 10:30AM - 4 PM at Echo Hill Park located at 42 Lilac Drive, Flemington.
At 11:30 AM, learn about Lenape Lifeways with Carla Messinger, a Lenape descendant from Pennsylvania, from the Turtle Clan Lenape. At 1:00 PM, enjoy a live animal show with Rizzo's Wildlife World. Throughout the meet animals and participate in activities with local 4-H clubs, make and take home a recycled or natural craft, visit the tables of local environmental organizations to find out what they do, see what lives in the stream (bring water shoes or boots), try out fishing on the pond, and enjoy an Earth Day StoryWalk®! The event will conclude with a campfire (bring your own snack to enjoy) and an interactive story at 3:00 PM. This event is FREE-No pre-registration required. This event is geared to all ages and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
