Meet Jenny, Center Director/Teacher

In this podcast interview with Director/Teacher Jenny Goings, you'll hear about early childhood music development and personal stories of the power of music in our lives.
From Clinton, NJ, Jenny holds a B.A. in Psychology from James Madison University, and early in her career she worked with adults and children with special needs. Passionate about music since early childhood and intrigued by the philosophy of the program, Jenny took the Music Together Teacher Training course. She started Music Together in Whitehouse Station soon afterwards, in 1996, originally for the benefit of her two little ones and family friends. Finding so much joy in teaching, observing her student's development and building relationships in the community, it soon became her life's work.
In addition to operating her own center and continuing to teach, Jenny is also the Director of Licensee Relations at Music Together LLC, which is the teacher training and licensing organization of Music Together centers worldwide, and proud to be a member of the curriculum development team, helping to create each new family songbook.
Meet Brian, Assistant
Brian loves music and sings all the time. That's what Jenny heard about him before they started dating in the 80's. Brian is great with kids and it feels like yesterday he was in class with our boys. He loves coming to class to help out, and join in the community.

Meet Teacher Lydia M.
Lydia has always had a love for children and music. All throughout childhood she was involved in musical theater, dance, and choirs around the community. Born and raised in Whitehouse Station, Lydia is happy to be back in her hometown doing what she loves!

Meet Substitute Teacher Angela
Angela S. holds a B.M. in Music Education from The Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. She taught piano for fifteen years, as well as vocal and instrumental music in public schools, before having children and discovering Music Together. As a parent and an educator, Angela immediately connected to the MT philosophy and engaging curriculum. Her children loved their Music Together and Rhythm Kids by Music Together® classes and are active music makers at home and in school. Angela has a lifelong passion for making, experiencing and teaching music and is excited to make Music Together with you and your family.

Testimonial from mom, Delia Biondi-Wong
This really made me tear up this morning.
Music Together has been a huge part of my life these past 7 years. I'm so thankful to have found you and Angela all those years ago. It began as something for me as a new stay-at-home mom to do with my toddler son but I realized quickly how important it is to incorporate music and singing in everyday routines and activities. I found myself singing with Oliver all the time- while washing dishes, at bathtime, on the way to the park, etc... Fast forward 7 years, and I now have a soon to be 9 yr old who is about to perform in his 4th musical and just generally LOVES all things music. I am certain that this is due to our time with Musjc Together
Back in the early days as a teacher. These kids are grownups now!
